Protect Your Property
Maintaining a clear dryer exhaust is the most effective way to protect your Redwood City property and improve appliance efficiency.
Lint is a primary fuel source for house fires. Professional extraction is the #1 way to eliminate this hazard from your home.
Clogged vents force your dryer to run longer. Cleaning restores airflow and significantly reduces monthly PG&E costs.
If your clothes take more than one cycle to dry, a lint-restricted vent is the likely culprit. We restore full factory airflow.
Removing backpressure prevents premature failure of your dryer's motor and heating elements, saving you from expensive repairs.
Proof of Work

Our team recently completed a critical dryer exhaust system repair and upgrade at a residential property in Woodside, CA. What began as a routine inspection quickly revealed multiple issues with the dryer exhaust system, posing significant safety risks, including potential fire hazards due to lint buildup and poor airflow. Through detailed diagnostics, thorough cleaning, and the installation of modern, safety-rated components, we restored the system to full functionality, ensuring the homeowner’s laundry setup is now safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards. The "Before" photo highlights the severity of the issues: a torn transition duct, disconnected ductwork, and excessive lint buildup on the walls and floor, all of which contributed to a hazardous and inefficient dryer exhaust system. The "After" photo showcases a clean, organized, and safe setup with a properly installed DryerFlex vent, secure ductwork, and a lint-free environment. This project not only resolved immediate safety concerns but also improved the dryer’s performance, reducing drying times and energy consumption for the homeowner. Most importantly, the homeowner now has peace of mind knowing their dryer exhaust system is safe and reliable. If you haven’t had your dryer exhaust system inspected recently, now is the time! A blocked or damaged vent can lead to inefficient drying, higher energy bills, and even fire hazards. Contact a professional to assess your system and ensure it’s operating safely and efficiently—just like we did for this Woodside, CA, homeowner. Stay safe and keep your laundry room running smoothly!

This was a fire/code compliance project we took on recently in San Mateo, CA. The home purchased a new dryer and upon delivery the dryer would not fit correctly into the existing space. I was not that the dryer was too large but rather the dryer exhaust system was not setup for the space correctly. What was needed in order to correct this situation was the installation of a wall box, which allows more space for the dryer to fit correctly and safely. The main solution that I see in tight spaces is actually a very unsafe once, usually there is a transition duct that looks like a giant slinky, installers use these because they are easy. That said they are 100% incorrect, they are not fore rated and the collapse and tear over time. In order to get our customer up and running we installed the following, A WallBox from InOvate, 12 feet of new 26 Ga hard pipe four inched in diameter a new InOvate DryerWall vent and a UL2158a rate transition duct, which now fits correctly due to the wall box installation.
What We Offer in Redwood City
Redwood City's diverse housing - from 1950s ranches in Woodside Plaza to modern condos in Redwood Shores - each have unique venting needs. Our cleaning covers the dryer, transition hose, and full vent run with rotary brush and HEPA-filtered vacuum. The Redwood City Fire Department recommends annual vent cleaning.
Redwood City homes across multiple eras have varying vent configurations - some compliant, many not. We replace damaged or non-compliant duct sections with fire-rated, UL-listed rigid metal duct that meets San Mateo County building code.
Redwood City's warmer climate and occasional high winds mean exterior vent caps face specific weathering. We install DryerJack termination caps that seal tightly when inactive, preventing pest intrusion and back-draft while maximizing exhaust flow.
MagVent magnetic coupling is a smart upgrade for Redwood City homes and condos where space behind the dryer is limited. The magnetic connection eliminates crushed hoses, improves airflow, and allows the dryer to sit closer to the wall.
Redwood City and Redwood Shores have significant multi-unit housing that requires commercial-grade vent cleaning. We serve apartment complexes, condo buildings, and laundromats with bulk pricing, scheduled maintenance contracts, and compliance documentation.

Warning Signs
If you notice any of these symptoms, your vent is likely partially or fully clogged and should be professionally cleaned as soon as possible. Redwood City homes in Woodside Plaza, Redwood Oaks, and Redwood Shores - spanning ranch-style single-family to modern condos - can develop blockages depending on vent length and configuration.
In Redwood City homes with long or multi-bend vent runs, restricted airflow traps moisture inside the drum - forcing two or three cycles per load.
Redwood City homeowners: if the top or sides of your dryer feel excessively hot during operation, heat is building up inside due to restricted exhaust.
This is a serious fire hazard - the Redwood City Fire Department recommends annual vent cleaning. The USFA links overheated lint to approximately 2,900 home fires per year.
In Redwood City's diverse housing stock - from 1950s ranches to newer Redwood Shores condos - lint bypasses the trap and collects in the ductwork over time.
A clogged vent pushes hot, moist air back into your laundry room. In Redwood City's warmer climate, this extra humidity can create uncomfortable conditions and promote mold.
Check the exterior vent flap on your Redwood City home - if lint is visible around the opening or the flap doesn't swing open during dryer operation, the vent is restricted.
