Dryer Vent Specialists is a licensed California contractor (CSLB #1160043) and a family-owned dryer vent cleaning, inspection, and repair company serving homeowners and property managers across the San Francisco Peninsula. We were founded by Michael and Raymond Redman, a father-son team united by a simple mission: make homes safer. After learning how many house fires start with clogged dryer vents (over 15,000 a year according to the U.S. Fire Administration), they knew they could make a real difference in their community.

Michael, a proud U.S. military veteran, brings the discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence that defined his years of service. Raymond brings technical expertise and a drive to deliver the best possible customer experience. Together, they've built a company rooted in honesty, hard work, and genuine care for every customer.

Being licensed matters most on the repair and installation side of this work. Replacing crushed or damaged ductwork, cutting in a new wall vent, and bringing a non-compliant run up to code is contracting work, and California licenses the contractors who perform it. Our license is CSLB #1160043, and you can verify it any time on the Contractors State License Board website at cslb.ca.gov. We carry insurance on every job, and our technicians hold the Certified Dryer Exhaust Technician (C-DET) credential from the Chimney Safety Institute of America.
